TGIF Total Play

We went 1-1 yesterday and that puts us at 3-4 for the week. We have a juicy total play providing that the weather co-operates.

Rain may be a problem in New York tonight, but I am playing the over 9 runs in the Arizzona Diamondbacks - New York Mets game.

Doug Davis is 5-10 with a 3.76 ERA and a .267 batting average against. However, his WHIP is 1.49. That's because he is 3rd in the NL in walks. On the road this year his ERA is 4.44 and his batting average against is .277. For July he has bit it big time. 5.61 ERA, a .324 batting average against and a 2.013 WHIP.

As for Livan Hernandez, he is 7-5 with a 4.87 ERA, but a WHIP of 1.53 and a batting average against of .305. At home this year his batting average against is .308. For the month of July, his ERA is 8.57, his WHIP is 2.142 and his batting average against is .382.

The Mets are 2nd in the NL in team batting for the past 7 days, batting an awesome .309 while Arizona is not far behind at .291.

Weather may be an issue but I like the over 9 here at (-105).

2 picks for Humpday

We lost last night's game by a lousy 1/2 run, leaving us at 1-2 for the week. Today, we bounce back with 2 picks.

I like the Los Angeles Dodgers +105 versus the St Louis Cardinals. Pineiro has pitched well no doubt but Kershaw is better. Also keep in mind that the Cardinals struggle against left handed pitching.

I also like under 9 in the Tampa Bay Rays - New York Yankees game. Garza is very good and Joba is starting to pitch like the monster the Yankees had hoped for. Also, Joba has good career numbers in domed stadia.

Wednesday's plays are the Los Angeles Dodgers +105 and the Tampa Bay Rays - New York Yankees under 9 (-119).

9) If this doesn't get Kate Hudson to notice me, nothing will

8) Too bad I'm not on my own fantasy team

7) My brother-in-law bowled a perfect game

6) (Josh Field, Dewayne Wise) We're going to Disneyworld! (Mark Buehrle) And I'm running for governor of Alaska

5) Did I remember to TiVo "So You Think You Can Dance"?

4) I'm leaving after the 7th inning to beat the traffic

3) Should I shave my back?

2) Sunflower seed... lodged in my windpipe... get help!

1) Maybe I'll give up one hit so I don't have to appear on Letterman

Total Tuesday

We went 1-1 yesterday. Here's Tuesday's play.

The Chicago White Sox start Mark Buehrle. Because of his perfect game, the under will get a lot of support. On the year he is 11-3 with a 3.28 ERA and a .247 batting average against. On the road his ERA jumps to 4.53 and his batting average against shoots up to .284. Against the Minnesota Twins this year his ERA is 5.40 and his batting average against is .303. In the Metrodome this year his ERA is 21.60 and his batting average against is .526. From 2006-2008 he was 2-2 in the Metrodome with a 4.50 ERA and a .356 batting average against. Check out these career numbers against Buehrle, each with 14 or more career at bats: Cuddyer .316, Punto .282, Redmond .457, Harris .320, Young .400, Gomez .444, and Span .429. Other than Mauer and Morneau everyone on the Twins hits Buehrle hard.

Meanwhile, the Twins start Scott Baker. He is 8-7 on the year with a 5.04 ERA, and a .258 batting average against. At home this season he is 4-4 with a 5.70 ERA. For the month of July his ERA is 5.24, and his batting average against is .304. Against the White Sox this year he is 1-1 with a 7.15 ERA. For his entire career against the Sox he is 4-3 with a 6.88 ERA. At the Metrodome this year, 3 of 4 games between these teams have gone over. In the last 3 years, 15 of 22 games between these 2 teams in the Metrodome have gone over the total. The Twins are 5-1 to the over in their last 6 games.

Tuesday's play is over 8.5 (+100) in the Twins vs White Sox game.

Manic Monday Plays

First I like the red-hot Yankees, 9-1 last 10 and a team batting average of .275 over the past 7 days, (-108) to the slumping Rays who are batting an AL-worst .202 over the past 7 days. The Yankees go with AJ Burnett. He is 9-4 on the year with a 3.74 ERA and a .241 batting average against. On the road this year, his batting average against is .231. His ERA in July is 3.08. Against the Rays this year he is 1-0 with a 3.21 ERA and a .188 batting average against. For his career against the Rays his ERA is 3.01. At Tropicana this year he is 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA and a .120 batting average against. From 2006-2008 he was 1-1 at the Trop with a 2.05 ERA and a .164 batting average against.

Meanwhile, the Rays go with James Shields. He is 6-6 on the year with a 3.70 ERA and a .273 batting average against. At home this year his batting average is also .273. In July his ERA is 4.68. He hasn't faced the Yankees this year but he must be having nightmares. For his career against them (all from 2006-2008) he is 1-6 against the Yankees with a 5.73 ERA and a .302 batting average against.

Lay the -108 with the Yankees.

My second play is taking a chance with a good pitcher and a good team getting a good price. I like the Dodgers +158 versus the Cardinals tonight. The Dodgers are batting a solid .288 over the past 7 days. The Cardinals struggle against lefties (batting .228 against them, 2nd worst in the NL). Wolf is pitching well now, going 2-1 in July with a 2.81 ERA and a .208 batting average against. On the road for the entire season, his ERA is 2.90 and his batting average against is .229. Carpenter's numbers this year are awesome but I notice that his batting average against in July is .255 as compared to his season batting average against of .209.

I like the Dodgers at +158 tonight.

Sunday Gravy Plays!

I went 3-1 yesterday, lets try to finish the week with another strong day.

First, I like the over 9 (-110) runs in the Houston Astros vs New York Mets game. The Mets start Livan Hernandez. For the year his ERA is 4.93 and a .305 batting average against. On the road his ERA is 5.04. In July his ERA is 10.93 and his batting average against is .413 In 14 innings this month he has allowed 26 hits and 10 walks with only 7 strikeouts. In the last 3 years, his ERA against Houston is 7.11 and his batting average against is .391. At Minute Maid over the past 3 years his ERA is 10.80 and his batting average against is .451.

The Astros start Brian Moehler. His ERA on the year is 4.92, and a .288 batting average against. At home his ERA is 5.09 and his batting average against is .309. Over the past 3 years he is 0-3 against the Mets with a 6.40 ERA and a .302 batting average against. He has good numbers for July (3-1 with a 2.16 ERA and a .215 baa) but look who he played against, the bottom feeders of the NL.

My second play is the Philadelphia Phillies -150 vs the St Louis Cardinals.

Joe Blanton goes for the Phils. He is 6-4 with a 4.24 ERA and a .265 batting average against. He is 1-0 against the Cards this year with a 1.50 ERA and a .174 batting average against. He is 2-0 for the month, with a 0.83 ERA and a .176 batting average against. In 21.2 innings this month, he allowed only 13 hits and 4 walks, with 16 strikeouts.

The Cardinals go with Todd Wellemeyer. For the year he is 7-8 with a 5.68 ERA and a .320 batting average against. On the road his ERA is 6.14 and his batting average against is .350. In July he is 1-1 with an ERA of 5.63 and a batting average against of .338. Over the past 3 years he is 0-1 against the Phils with a 7.30 ERA.

Also adding Tampa Bay (-107), Los Angeles Angels (-145) and the Los Angeles Dodgers (-133).

Have a great Day!

Four plays for Saturday!

Today, I like the over 9.5 (-115) in the Minnesota Twins vs. Los Angeles Angels game.

The Twins start right handed pitcher, Nick Blackburn who is 8-4 on the year with a 3.44 ERA. Those are decent stats but his WHIP is 1.333 and his batting average against is .277. On the road this year he is 3-4 with a 4.06 ERA and a .287 batting average against. In his last 5 starts, he has allowed 50 hits in only 35 innings. For the month of July he is 2-0, but with a 5.14 ERA, a .319 batting average against, and a WHIP of 1.476. Against the Angels this year, his ERA is 5.68 and his batting average against is .308. For his entire career he is 0-2 against the Angels with a 4.00 ERA. BUT, for his career at Angels Stadium, his ERA is 5.79, his batting average against is .455 and his WHIP is 2.857.

The Angels start righty Matt Palmer. He is 7-1 on the year, but with a 4.75 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP. As a starter his ERA jumps to 5.10 and his batting average against is .263. During the day his ERA jumps to 5.55 and his batting average against is .287. This is a pitcher whose CAREER numbers show more than 1 hit allowed per inning pitched (91 hits in 90.1 innings). He is fortunate to be 7-1.

More trends: the Angels are 15-4 to the over in July. Against righties, the Angels bat an AL-best .290. Over the past 7 days, the Angels are batting an AL-best .310. These 2 teams are 4-1-1 to the over this year. In the past 3 years at Angels Stadium, the over is 7-4-1. The Twins are 7-4-1 to the over when playing a team with a winning record in the second half of the season.

All signs point to the Over 9.5 (-115).

Also adding the Los Angeles Angels to win (-118), New York Yankees -1.5 (-140) and Chicago Cubs (-126).

Have a great day!

TGIF plays

The Philadelphia Phillies start lefty J.A. Happ. As you know, the Cards suck against left handed pitching, batting an NL-worst .223 against them. Happ is 7-0 on the year with a 2.68 ERA (6th in the NL) and a .222 batting average against. His ERA in his last 3 starts is 1.71. For the month of July (last 4 starts), he is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA and a .214 batting average against. For his career against the Cards his ERA is 2.84 and his batting average against is .217 and the Cardinals are batting a weak .245 over the past 7 days.

The Cardinals start Joel Pineiro. His record is only 8-9, but he has an ERA of 3.09 and a 1.09 WHIP (5th in the NL). As good as Happ has been in July, Pineiro has been better. In July he is 2-0 with a 1.57 ERA and a .195 batting average against. In 23 innings this month, he has allowed only 16 hits and no walks! Over the past 3 years he is 1-0 against the Phils with a 0.00 ERA and a .227 batting average against. For his entire career against the Phillies, his ERA is 2.33 and his WHIP is 1.242.

Today's plays are STL-PHI Under 9 (-103) and adding the surging Angels (-149).

4 Free Plays for Thursday

For Thursday, I will lay the -120 with the Detroit Tigers and Luke French. I like this kid and I think he can pitch. His 1-0 record and 1.89 ERA would seemingly back that up. Washburn has pitched well recently (and his ERA for the year is only 2.87) but the Tigers are one team he does not do well against. For his entire career he is 4-8 against the Tigers with a 5.51 ERA. He hasn't faced them yet this year, but get this, from 2006-2008, he was 0-5 against them with a 6.67 ERA. At Comerica from 2006-2008 he was 0-2 with a 15.00 ERA, a .400 batting average against.

also adding Toronto (-149), Atlanta (-166) and the Angels (-148).

Good Luck All!

4 plays for hump day

We went 2-1 yesterday, and we stand at 3-3 for the week. We have 4 free plays for Wednesday!

First I like the Minnesota Twins with Perkins (-106) versus the Oakland A's. Perkins has mediocre numbers for sure, but compared to Cahill, his numbers are far better. In July, Cahill has allowed 16 hits and 11 walks (with only 4 strikeouts) in 13.2 innings, for an ERA of 7.90 and a .291 batting average against. He walks a ton of guys (7th in the AL). Again, Perkins' numbers have been weak, but the A's are horrible against lefties, batting an AL-worst .229.

Second, I like the Boston Red Sox with Buchholz at -122 versus the Texas Rangers. Buchholz won his first outing last week. At Pawtucket he was a monster this year, going 7-2 with a 2.36 ERA and a .188 batting average against. Padilla has a 6.00 ERA and a .338 batting average against at home. In July his ERA is only 4.15, but his batting average against is .358. Check out the career numbers against him: Kotsay .385; Drew .368; Ortiz .333; Youkilis .417; and Green .429.

Third, still want to ride the Phillies streak (now at 10). They are paying +106 at home against Zambrano, should be a close game, but the odds make this a value play.

Also adding the Los Angeles Angels (-120)are 8-2 in the last 10, have won 4 in a row and face a KC team that is now 1-9 in their last 10.

Today's plays are Phillies (+106), Angels (-120), RedSox (-122), Twins (-106).

Have a great day!

Bounce Back Tuesday

Went 1-2 yesterday with 1 rainout. We bounce back today with the following.

First, I like the over 10 runs in the Rays/White Sox. Here's why:

Both teams are hitting very well right now. The Rays are batting .306 over the past 7 days (2nd in the AL), while the Sox are 3rd in the AL at .289. Guess which team has scored the most runs in the AL this year against lefties. If you said the Rays you would be right (164). Conveniently, the White Sox are starting a lefty tonight. Clayton Richard is 3-3 on the year but with a 5.42 ERA, a .296 batting average against. At home this year his ERA is 6.83 and his batting average against is .307. For the month of July, he has an ERA of 19.29, and a batting average against of .500

Meanwhile the Rays go with Jeff Niemann. He is 8-4 with a 3.73 ERA and a .261 batting average against. In July his ERA is only 2.25 but his batting average against is .271. On the road this year his ERA is 4.08. He is 0-1 against the Sox this year with a .346 batting average against. For his career he is 0-2 against the Sox with a 6.75 ERA

Second, I like the Astros -139 to beat the Cardinals. The Astros start lefty Wandy Rodriguez. The Cards are horrible against lefties, batting only .226 against them. Wandy is 9-6 on the year with a 2.81 ERA (7th in the NL)and a .249 batting average against. He is 8th in the NL in strikeouts with 112. At home this year he is 4-2 with a 2.21 ERA and a .222 batting average against. This month he is 3-0 with a 0.41 ERA and a .218 batting average against.

The Cardinals go with Todd Wellemeyer. He is 7-7 on the year with a 5.56 ERA and a .319 batting average against. He is 10th in the NL in walks with 47. For the month of July he is 1-0 with a 4.63 ERA and his batting average against is .333. On the road this year his ERA is 5.90 and his batting average against is .350.

Third, I'll keep riding the Phillies train, as they are 9-1 in their last 10. To get them at (-129) is a value play right now.

Today's 3 plays are Tampa Bay vs. Chisox Over 10 (+111), Houston Astros (-139) and Philadelphia (-129)

Have a great day!

Friday's Big Dog Play

We missed our total by 1 run last night, and finished up the night at 1-2 when the underdog Angels came through for us.

Let's get to the Friday plays.

Detroit Tigers +196 vs. New York Yankees. Burnett is unpredictable and he does lead the AL in walks. Detroit's Luke French can pitch and the Tigers are a good team. The Yankees feast on the sub-par teams, but are less than .500 against the good teams. Anytime I can get a team like the Tigers at +196, and with a good pitcher on the mound, I'm jumping on it.

Cleveland Indians vs Seattle Mariners over 8.5. I don't care whether it's Huff or Ohka going for the Tribe, as they both suck. King Felix has pitched lights out, but the Jake is not his favorite place (from 2006-2008, his ERA at the Jake is 4.32 and his WHIP is a super-high 1.913).

Toronto Blue Jays vs Boston Red Sox under 8.5. Romero has been awesome for the Jays, going 7-3 with a 3.00 ERA. At home he's even better, with a 2.31 ERA and a .209 batting average against. Buchholz is making his first start for the Red Sox this year but he has been lights out at Triple A--Pawtucket (7-2 with a 2.36 ERA and a .188 baa all over 99 innings). The line move from 9 to 8.5 tells me I am on the right side here.

Friday's plays are: Detroit Tigers (+196), Indians/Mariners over 8.5 (-110), Blue Jays/Red Sox under 8.5 (-102).

Back to business.

So, we finished 3-1 on Sunday and could have been 4-0 if Atlanta didn't blow a 7-3 lead. We finished the week at 6-3-2.

First, the play I like most today is over 8.5 in the Chicago Cubs vs Washington Nationals game. Harden has been pathetic in June (14.14 ERA, .441 baa) and struggles on the road in any event. Lannan's July numbers are only slightly better (5.54 ERA, .377 baa). I know the Cubs are lousy against lefties, but they'll get theirs tonight and Washington is usually good for several runs as well.

Secondly, I like the Cincinnati Reds -110 vs the Milwaukee Brewers. Bailey has been great since his return to the majors, while Looper struggles on the road (6.06 ERA and .309 baa), struggles in July (5.25 ERA) and stinks at Great American this year (13.50 ERA and .471 baa).

Last but not least, I like the Los Angeles Angels +118 vs the Oakland A's. On the surface a pitching mismatch in favor of the A's, but anytime I can get a team like the Angels (batting .365 over the past 7 days) at plus odds, I'm gonna take it. Plus, Santana is 9-1 in his career against the A's (6-1 over the past 3 years).

Thursday's plays are the Cubs/Nationals over 8.5 (-120), the Reds -110 and the Angels +118.

Four free plays today, before the break.

We now stand at 3-2-1 for the week, lets finish off the first half of the season with some Sunday action.

1) Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles under 9 (-120). Both these kids can pitch and the Orioles are not hitting at all now. 4 of 5 have games have gone under this year.

2) Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers over 8 (-110). Kershaw is 2nd in walks, Gallardo is 4th in walks. Guess which teams have the most walks in the NL ??? Dodgers # 1 and Brewers # 2. Lots of free passes should result in runs, should be a messy game.

3) Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox over 8.5 (+100). Baker has not pitched well, especially against the White Sox. Buehrle's numbers on turf in general and in the Metrodome in particular, are less than stellar.

4) Atlanta Braves (+127) vs. Colorado Rockies. Hammels stinks and Medlen's numbers are deceptive. The kid can pitch.

Saturday's play is on West!

Now standing at 3-1-1 for the week.

The Marlins start rookie 6 foot 8 inch left handed pitcher, Sean West. If he can keep his walks down, he is almost un-hitable. For the year he is 3-3 with a 4.47 ERA and a .230 batting average against. On the road he is 1-1 with a 4.82 ERA. but his road batting average against is only .182. For the month of July his ERA is 7.50, but yet his batting average against is only .200. That tells me he has gotten victimized by a few untimely hits. What helps us here is the fact that the Diamondbacks stink against lefties, batting only .230 against them and averaging only 3.6 runs against.

Meanwhile the Diamondbacks start Jon Garland. He is 4-8 on the year with a 4.80 ERA and a .293 batting average against. For the month of July his batting average against is .292. At home this year he is 2-4 with a 7.15 ERA and a .330 batting average against. Over his last 3 starts, he allowed 27 men on base in 18.1 innings. He is 1-0 against Florida this year with a 1.50 ERA, but with a .304 batting average against. The Marlins will get to him tonight.

Today's value play is the Florida Marlins (+108)

Another total for Friday

Now 3-0-1 for the week.

For Friday I like the over 9 runs in the Atlanta Braves vs. Colorado Rockies game.

The Braves start Derek Lowe. Two months ago he looked like a brilliant free agent signing, but now, he is 7-7 on the year with a 4.56 ERA and a .280 batting average against. In his last 3 outings, he went only 14.1 innings, allowing 28 hits and 7 walks, for an ERA of 7.71 and on the road this year his ERA is 5.03 and his batting average against is .283. For his career against the Rocks he is 7-7 with a 4.50 ERA. He hasn't pitched at Coors this year, but from 2006-2008, he pitched 30.1 innings at Coors. His record there is 1-4, his ERA there is 8.01 and his batting average against there is .374. In his 30.1 innings at Coors, he has allowed 49 hits and 15 walks. It's safe to say that Coors Field is not Derek Lowe's favorite place.

Meanwhile, the Rockies start Ubaldo Jiminez. He is 6-8 with a 3.86 ERA and a .246 batting average against. He is 8th in walks in the NL with 45. At home his ERA is 4.05 and his batting average against jumps to .263. In his last 3 starts, he has allowed 16 hits and 7 walks in 20.1 innings for a 4.50 ERA. For his career against the Braves he is 1-2 with a 5.66 ERA.

The Braves are batting a solid .280 over the past 7 days, while the Rocks are not that far behind at .270. The over 9 is already at -125, so I fully expect it to climb to 9.5. It won't matter.

Friday's play is over 9 (-125) in the Braves vs Rockies game.

Dodger Time!

With yesterday's win, that puts us at 2-0-1 for the week.

The Dodgers start lefty Randy Wolf. Yes I know the Mets hit lefties, but the fact is, they aren't hitting anyone well right now, with a .234 batting average over the past week of games. Wolf is 3-3 with a 3.49 ERA and a .235 batting average against. On the road his ERA is 2.91 and his batting average against is .224. Against the Mets this year his ERA is 2.35 and his batting average against is .214. Other than Castillo, no Mets (who are healthy at least) have had any career success against him. In fact, for his career he is 11-5 against the Mets with a 3.30 ERA. Even better, since 2006, he is 5-0 against the Mets.

Meanwhile the Mets start ancient Livan Hernandez. He is hitting the part of the season where he starts to fall apart. On the season his ERA is 4.56 and his batting average against is .299. For his career against the Dodgers he is 9-13 with a 4.30 ERA . In his last 17 innings pitched, he has allowed 21 hits and 12 walks, for an ERA of 6.35 . The Dodgers bat an NL-best .267 against righties and an NL-best .275 on the road. Over the past 7 days, they are batting an awesome .301. Here's the best part. Check out these career batting averages against Hernandez (each with 8 or more career at bats against him): Manny .625; Blake .400; Loney .364; Ethier .375; Loretta .333; Ausmus .323; Furcal .333; and Pierre .281.

The Dodgers open up a can of whoop-ass on the Mets tonight.

Thursday's play is the Los Angeles Dodgers (-155).

An Under for Wednesday

First the re-cap. Got a push last night with the over in the Astros/Pirates. Makes me 1-0-1 for the week.

For Wednesday, I like the under 8 runs in the Kansas City Royals - Detroit Tigers game.

First of all the Royals start Zack Greinke. He leads the AL in ERA (2.00) and in WHIP (1.05). On the road this year his ERA is 2.17. Against the Tigers this year he is 2-0 with a 0.50 ERA with a .153 batting average against. In fact, for his career, he is 9-4 against the Tigers with a 2.84 ERA and a 1.141 WHIP. Over the past 3 years at Comerica park, he is 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA and a .225 batting average against. The Tigers, who are batting a weak .226 over the past 7 days, and who bat only .257 against right handed pitching will continue to struggle against Grienke.

Meanwhile the Tigers start 6 ft. 4 inch lefty Luke French. He is making his 2nd major league start. So far his ERA is 2.35 and his batting average against is .207. This big tall lefty can pitch. In the minors he was 4-4 with a 2.98 ERA, a 1.11 WHIP and a .237 batting average against. In his last 3 minor league starts before recently being called up, he pitched 23 innings, allowing only 16 hits and 3 walks, with 26 strikeouts. The Royals are 11-18 to the under this year when facing a lefty.

Today's pick is K.C.-DET Under 8 (+100)

Another total for Tuesday.

The Pittsburgh Pirates start lefty Paul Maholm tonight. The Houston Astros hit .285 against left handed pitching, and Maholm is a crummy lefty. For the year his ERA is 4.69 and his batting average against is .290. On the road, his ERA jumps to 6.05 and his batting average against is .304. At Minute Maid Park this year, his ERA is 5.14. At Minute Maid from 2006-2008, his ERA was 8.70 and his batting average against was .337. In his last 4 outings, he has allowed 38 hits and 7 walks in only 21.1 innings.

Meanwhile, the Astros start Brian Moehler. On the year he has a 5.64 ERA and a .304 batting average against. At home his ERA is 7.81 and his batting average against is .359. For his career against the Pirates he is 6-5 with a 6.07 ERA. He is 1-1 against the Pirates this year with a 4.76 ERA and a .304 batting average against. He has seemingly pitched well lately (2.65 ERA over his last 3 starts), but don't let that fool you, as he has feasted mostly on the bottom-feeders of both leagues (San Diego, Kansas City, Minnesota, and Arizona).

These two teams have played 3 times this year at Minute Maid Park. All 3 have gone over the total. Tonight makes number 4.

Today's play is over 9 (-115) in the Astros vs. Pirates game.

A Total for Monday

The Arizona Diamondbacks start Jon Garland today. He is 4-8 on the year with a 4.81 ERA and a .291 batting average against. At home this year his ERA is 7.51 and his batting average against is .332.

Here are Walter Silva's numbers. He is 0-2 with an 8.86 ERA and a .307 batting average against. On the road his ERA is 16.71 and his batting average against is an unbelievable .400. His ERA over his last 3 starts is an unreal 10.81.

These 2 teams have played 9 times this season. 8 of those 9 have gone over the total, therefore today's pick is the Over 10 (-112) in the San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks game.

Sunday in the City of Angels

Joe Saunders should be happy today, he is pitching at home and against Baltimore. He likes to do both and has had success on both fronts. He is 4-2 with a 2.95 ERA at home and 6-0 lifetime vs Baltimore in his career. Hill on the other hand has only gone past the 6th inning once this year and is sporting a 9.42 ERA in his last outing after getting pounded for 9 runs in 3.1 innings in his last start. So the Angels will again get to feast on an Orioles bullpen with a 5.41 ERA and help Saunders get another home win.

Today's pick is the Angels -1.5 (+110)
