Tuesday Hockey Plays

Ottawa Senators -104 vs Philadelphia Flyers. After their past couple of games, it looks like Ottawa is getting back on track. A hearty effort in Dallas and then a very defensive and efficient win vs Montreal has the Sens feeling good about themselves. Philly on the other hand has some troubles. Back to back losses vs Atlanta, goaltending question marks and now the loss of Jeff Carter to an offense that is struggling. Add in the fact Philly has only 5 wins in 27 tries in Ottawa, and the home team is 8-2 in the last 10 in this series. Yes we like the home team here a lot.

Atlanta Thrashers +106 vs Boston Bruins. The Thrashers are in a playoff fight now and playing some of their best hockey recently and all this without Kovaluchuk, what a gritty team. Not to mention an offensive one as they have scored 18 goals in winning 4 straight games against quality opponents and now they face the offensively challenged Bruins who just can't seem to click on a regular basis. Home team in this match-up is 7-3 in the last 10 and we'll stick with this plucky bunch of Thrashers tonight.

Carolina Hurricanes +109 at Tampa Bay Lightning. To their credit the Hurricanes haven't quit and are getting some strong goaltending from rookie Peters and Eric Staal has been hot of late as well. Now they face the Lightning of Tampa tonight and this team hasn't fared well at all of late and look to be struggling, especially on defense. Carolina on the other hand has been solid defensively and at this price are the play here tonight.

Phoenix Coyotes +154 at Chicago Blackhawks. A take back price of 1.5 times our money on a team that has won 9 games in a row and the last 2 meetings in this match up? Sold!! We are on the Coyotes. The surprise team of the year simply keeps on winning and people still haven't taken notice. Are they for real, well we'll see come playoff time, but right now the W's speak for themselves. Tonight they take on a struggling Blackhawks squad who are 1-4 in their last 5 and also home off of a 3 game road trip. Now Chicago is a very solid home team, and that's why a smaller investment from us but something isn't right with this group at the moment, including questionable goaltending. With Phoenix having won the last 2 meetings and how they are playing right now, they certainly have a shot at this game again tonight and at this price are a play for us.
